Ways to brine up you day

Finished your pickles? Don’t know what to do with the brine? Don’t throw it out! Try these ideas to pickle up your day.

Briney Chicken

Use the brine as a marinade for chicken breast and leave it in the fridge for a couple of hours. Make sure you don't leave it in the fridge or the vinegar flavour will be too overpowering and the acidity of the brine will change the texture of the chicken. At first it might look like something out of a zombie apocalypse, but don’t worry, it’s worth a try! Don't forget to get rid of the excess brine before pan frying it… unless you're fine with flambéing food in the kitchen.

Remember, the smaller your chicken breast cut, the less time you’ll need to marinate.

Preserved Veg

Preserve and spice up your veggies in our brine! Veggies that we recommend you to try are;

  • Carrots
  • Green Beans
  • Asparagus
  • Onion
  • Chiles
